Overview

Resolve's checkout now allows merchant users (e.g.; individuals in your organization) to place orders on behalf of customers, allowing you to closely mirror an existing sales-rep led checkout process. In summary, this feature allows individuals in your organization to place order on behalf of customers which can streamline your order process and provide a better experience to your end-customers. Doing so will also unify your order system and all back-office data flows.

Sales-rep led checkout is supported across all eCommerce integrations and the checkout-sdk.

To use this feature, you must sign in with your Resolve merchant account credentials within the checkout process. All Resolve user account types are supported:

  • Admin

  • Contributor

  • Viewer

Steps

The following steps are using the BigCommerce integration as an example.

  1. From the checkout screen select the Resolve payment method (as configured) and finalize the checkout.

  2. Within the Resolve checkout modal, enter your Resolve merchant account credentials and select "Sign In"

  3. Search for the customer that you wish to place the order for, and select them from the search results. You will also be able to see their available credit from the search results.

  4. Select "Confirm purchase" to finalize the order. Once complete, you will then be redirected to the order confirmation page. When using an eCommerce integration, the customer will also receive an order confirmation email that an order has been placed.

Best Practices

In order to best utilize the Sales-Rep led checkout flow, invite your sales team to your Resolve account. For more information, see .
